Knuckle seals

Post by nwmv »

How many of you guys have replaced your knuckle felt seals on your split axle? I replaced mine last week along with the hub seals and repacked all the bearings quite a job The most difficult task was fitting the felt into the cast groove of the knuckle properly. The felt is quite a bit wider than the groove it fits in.

Hi

I did that last year and it wasnt a difficult job. It only costed
a lot of time. Cant remember having problems with the felt seals.
But since I have clean knuckles, thus not covered with grease.
