Another "What should my USA number be" thread

Post by Bill_Wolf »

I am getting ready to put USA numbers on the hood of my CCKW.

The numbers on the hood were 4326105 and I do not believe that this would correctly correspond to the build date of 6/1945.

The serial number is 353-529014A2 on this air-portable cargo.

Any help as to what the number should be would be greatly appreciated.

Bill, on my 3/45 CCKW the hood numbers are 4692413 All indications are that the hood is original to the truck.

Hey NW

What is your chassis serial number ?
I have a 4 /45 Air portable with 480502 as the chassis number
Given that we used your hood number as a baseline simple math. from your serial number should put Bill and I somewhere in the "ballpark"

Thanks
