Nice truck, restoring a shopvan myself, very similar to this one, non-collaspible van body, trying to find a inner rear door catch, held by 6 screws, its a long shot but just wondered if this owner had one spare or new where I could source from, as I am unable to source in the UK.
Thanks in advance

Robc,
l am glad you like the van. I do not have the parts you want. If I hear of the part being offered somewhere I will let you know. In fact, I was extremely fortunate to find a shop van that had very few parts missing as far as the body was concerned. The body inside trailer has been converted to an exact replica of the Patton HQ Van in Fort Knox Patton Museum.
I am looking for the gasoline heater that went on the inside wall. It is referred to Evanair Heater. Patton did not use his because he said it gave him a head ache. The heaters were notorious for carbon monoxide leaks.

Hi Denny
Thanks for your reply, my van body has original work benches and drawer system and like yours no heater, not been able to find one over here.
Could you just confirm the rear door latches are secured by 6 screws in each catch. I have catches for collapsible body but only held by 4 screws and different in construction.
Many Thanks
Rob

Nice looking truck. Could you post a photo of the inside for those of us not familiar with the Patton Museum truck? Sounds interesting.

Bill,
Thank you for posting those pics as I had no way to do it at the moment. While I am thinking of it I want to thank you and all of those who frequent this forum. I had not owned a cckw before this one and knew very little about them. Through the nice folks here I was able to find out what TM's I needed, who sold parts, what was correct and most importantly ask question to experts and knowledgeable owners who been there and done that.
This forum and the whole web site is a real jewel and the information and what I gathered from here lead me to all the places I needed to go to finish the "Patton" van as far as it has now gone. I sill need to work to finish several areas but it has been made easier being a member of this forum.
Thank you so much
Denny

Nice lookin truck truck you have there Lucky. Looks great and nice job on converting the Shop into Pattons camper. Great attention to detail on your living history display. And the small nic nacks and personal items you have inside make your display very realistic. Nice job!
But I dont see the two Nickel plated ivory handled Single Action Army Colts in the pictues anywhere.... Remember there Ivory handles. Cause according to George "pearl handles are for pimps"!
Excellent display and very nice truck , great job!

Colin,
(Big Grin) "Only a pimp in a New Orleans whore house or a tin horn would have pearl handle revolvers." The revolvers were not in the picture because I was wearing them. I was just about to get in the peep and be on my way to Germany to personally shoot that paper hanging S.O.B.
All kidding aside, thank you for the compliments. The shop van has a list of credits of those who have helped. When it is done I will put a brass plaque in it with the list. CCKW. Org will be listed. A group of us gave up many weekends to put it together. It made its debut during the Veterans Day weekend...which incidentally is also Patton's birthday. He was born November 11, 1885.
