Was the radiator on a new 1944 CCKW blaok or OD ? And I am looking for a nice fan shroud . Thanks Warren Duchesne

Hi Warren
I dont know for sure what the actual painted colour was, but to me I would think it was probably black, to assist with optimum heat dissipation.

I agree on the black color as well....but...I don't know for sure.
I do know however that in the few I have dismantled that there was OD overspray in a lot of areas , and black paint ( and rust) were apparent in the more "hidden/protected" areas.
I have always assumed ( hopefully correctly :wink: ) that the radiators were at least black on the parts shelf prior and during assembly.

It have just taken mine off - it is black and in very good original condition, the shroud is also black.
