Hi,
On my banjo axled CCKW, I want to have stainless steel inserts installed on the wheel cylinders. Where should I send them to have this performed? I have replaced and/or honed these wheel cylinders too many times in the 11 years I have owned the truck.
Your advise please.

Capt.
I've heard of a company called White Post http://www.whitepost.com that sleeves in stainless. I also checked at my old time local clutch and brake shop, and they recommended a local fellow, who has been doing them for years. That's my plan when I get to that point...

Re: Stainless Steel Inserts
Get a local machine shop to make you brass pistons for your SS sleeved cylinders. I see a Jeep vendor is doing this.
The aluminum pistons corrode due to moisture and start to drag. A brass piston will not do that.
If you are going stainless, do the rest too...

Brake Equipment Warehouse does them as well ( I THINK this is where Bob at VoV sends the cyl. he has avail )
I've done business with them and have been pleased with their service ( more competitive than some "other" mentioned jobbers )

Re: Stainless Steel Inserts
Hi
I had four banjo wheel cylinders rebuilt with stainless steel inserts by Vehicles of Victory. Bob was great to deal with!
Sent him 4 off the truck and he immediately sent stainless steel replacements without even waiting for mine to arrive in New York.
