When we lubricate the propeller shaft journal....

Post by Fernando Mendes »

When we put grease in the propeller shaft journal we notice that the grease enter and go out trough the center of it.I noticed that the grease enter and go out only in some trunnion bearing, not in all of them. What do you think of this?

If you are referring to the universal joints at the ends of the prop shafts, then the ones which the grease does not come out of are probably blocked up with old grease and would need cleaning out.
Don't say can't as anything is possible with time and effort.

BEWARE: Some replacement U-joint cross pieces do not have a groove on the end to allow grease to pass from the hole in the middle to the needles.
