CCKW HEATERS

Post by joel gopan »

There were only two.
One was the GM Designed Harrison Hot Water Heater that came out in 44. The other was the Stewart Warner 978 Gasoline fired heater that was Post War. It was mounted in a large box located on the LH Fender, and came with a defroster Kit and hand primer. I had a few of these years ago and have saved one NOS unit to display. It required a lot of holes and was for both Open and Closed Cab. I have a NOS Hot Water heater in my truck.

Odd to see this post and yesterday running across one of these...is this the same thing you descirbe Joel? This is a 6V and appears to be gas fired. I looked up a M-978 and found everything but this.

It's a start, you only have about 75 more pieces to go.
