If you are careful, you can find a NOS with the little handle on it, it adds a finishing touch to the Engine Compartment. Don't forget to install the gasket in the neck.

I am short on gaskets, but the dealers that sell WC and Jeep may have some, they are the same gasket. For a few years I was the only one who had a known handfull. Some CCKW Caps come with and some are without. The same goes for WWII Jeep, I have NOS Caps in sealed box, and no gaskets.

Remember, if you use the 4# Gates, Stant, or AC commercially available cap with the rubber seal, to remove the fibre gasket from the filler neck. The MB, M-38, M-38A1, M-37, M-35(Gas only) Chevrolet 4X4, DT 6X6 Caps will interchange as they are all 4# pressure rated. I have NOS Caps as used on the MB/GPW.

For those who are curious, caps were not painted from the factory.
