Has it been serviced? Unless you are playing in the dirt, you should be able to go two or three years, that is if you are averaging less than 300 miles a year. I am refering to the OEM set up, and trucks that have neen modified with systems that satisfy the whims of owners with a better idea. There are no better ideas for vehicles that were exhaustively tested at Holabird and Aberdeen to perform under extreme conditions. All of my information is based on a vehicle equipped as it would have left the factory in 1941-1945. Oil Bath Air Cleaners are very efficient.

They are also very messy if you happen to let it slip out of your hands during removal.

I know this from first hand experience.

Not all CCKW owners are "maintenance types". One always handles the CCKW Air Cleaner from the bottom.

The CCKW Air Cleaner was manufactured by AC Div of General Motors, you will see other brands,Donaldson, etc., but a lot happens in 60 years.
