Master cylinder
I know this may be old news but has anyone ever used a master cylinder off a M35-A1-A2 on a cckw? Thay fit but are there any unforseen problem later

I haven't but in talking to a guy at Memphis Equipment he said that they function quite well as a replacement.

I use them all the time on my collection.
Only thing is that you need to make sure on some of them that they do not squash the metal box they are mounted in because some are a little narrower. Bolt in from one side and if there is a gap in the other side, add flat washers before bolting the other side.
Just as an FYI: The CCKW and M35 are the same, the M211/M135 are different because of the check valve location. I don't remember which it is, which one has the check valve in it. That also makes the airpak for the M35 different than the M211/M135.

M-135/M-211 have no check valve, M-35 does, Some CCKWs use the check valve, but when the type 3 Hydrovac Fat One) is used, the check valve should be removed, as it is in the Hydrovac. There is no reason for Wagner Master Cylinders having different dimensions, but some of the Off Shore Cheapos that some places peddle could understandably vary. I will not sell off shore brake products, they have a history of flaws.

The one that was thinner, was purchased from VT Commercial Salvage and I was told by the owner that it was US made

The real proof is the markings on the castings. OEM will have Wagner markings, Surplus will have Wagner Markings, there are other US Manufacturers, Raybestos is one, but I dout dealers will shell out the big bucks they cost. foreign are sometimes black and can vary slightly in width, but shouldn't. They can be troublesome, and I will not buy them, as many customers are Fire Departments. Some leak, or just do not function right.
