Congratulations, you have one of better than a half million of this Cap. Some have dimple and some do not, there are a couple locking lug styles along with the composition of the gasket. Most late WWII 4X4/6X6 trucks used this Cap. Some CCKWs used two.
I have a quantity of spares.

Hi Jack,
AC spark plug were a GM company,as were Inland who made the barrel on your M1 carbine.
GM were/are a massive corporation who owned or had a hand in many different products.on a CCKW...
Electrics by Delco-Remy.GM owned.
Gauges etc by AC.GM owned.
Paint by DuPont.GM were major share holders.
.50 machine gun on your ring mount, made by GM or Fridgidare who were also GM owned.
This isn't a complete list of pies GM had it's fingers in.

Cheers

I am like UK Jack. I love finding markings on parts. It adds character as far as I am concerned.
I remember when Chuck was selling AC/Delco on TV. Kind of dates me.
