WTB: US Army TM for Sperry Search light ....TM5-7140

Post by Bill_Wolf »

I am looking for the TM which covers the 1941 or 1943 Sperry searchlight. I believe it is TM 5-7140.

I have recently added this beauty to my collection of WWII stuff.

Fully functional? I got one as well, but it is really messed up, at least it is from what I'm told. I haven't even seen :(

It is supposedly half functional. It will strike an arc and rotate 360. Needs some wiring and contact work to be fully functional in the tracking feature with the remote tracking station.

Waiting for it to arrive from Pheonix AZ. I am trying to find an enclosed shipper so that it doesn't get covered with Sand and Salt.

Soon....I hope

Bill

PS If anyone knows a good shipper with enclosed trailer let me know. The 2 are only 17 feet long, 5 feet wide, 9 feet high, 6000#'s.
