Can someone shoot me some pictures of what data tags are supposed to be on the dash of my 45-CCKW open cab? And what should the completed/restored cab should look like? There are three small data tags up near the center/passenger side of the windsheild. One states about what should be done when running thru wire obsticles and shutting off the front brake lines. The other states what manuals are for the vehicle. There is one missing between them. The other is a large tag that is blue, in the middle of the dash that shows all the shift patterns and is Norwegain. The forth maybe a rebuild tag above the glove box. But is unreadable for now because of being painted over. The fifth tag is on the drivers side and shows the max speed in each gear and high/low ranges and discusses tire sizes. But no tag stating the truck Type/model and serial#'s or date produced. I dont see a spot that looks like there was one. Was there one in the late model CCKW's?
Also what type of shifter boots went over the transfur range and front axel engauge levers? and was there one for the winch PTO lever? And finially was felt used around the holes for the steering column floor pedals or horse hair to keep the wind from coming up thru the floor?

I'm afraid I can't send you pictures of the data plates as I don't have a scanner,but it sounds like you have most of the originals in place.on the dash you should have...
Max speed in the following gears.
To drain cooling system.
Publications.
Wire(these are only on later open cab trucks and are quite a rare plate to find)
Gear shift pattern.
The main data plate was located on the center on the firewall below the dash.
I'm not sure a late truck had shifter boots due to rubber shortages. there was a pad of a felt type material around the pedals,these can be found as both NOS and repro.

42 is right ohn with Beckers book. You also need to get you a copy of TM9-801 for trouble shooting and repair sequence on these old trucks.
