Signature

After taking off the dataplates on my truck so I can weld up the unoriginal holes, I noticed that someone had signed the dash of my truck and covered it up with a dataplate.

It was signed by "Ulbrich"

I imagine this was done when the truck was reconditioned in Berlin in 1955. It could have also been done when it was reconditioned at Karlsfeld Ordnance Depot in Munich, although I believe only the engine was replaced at Karlsfeld.

The signature was under the dataplate to the uper right of the the glovebox (which I know is supposed to be on the firewall)

That is cool. You never know what can be found on these old trucks.

Very nice find Nick.

On my dash just below the choke pull, it has 'choke' scratch quite deeply into the dash and it is in English so I am kinda thinking (hopefully) that it is as old as the truck as surely it would be in Norwegain if they had of done it?!
