Voltage regulator

Post by Corne Lauwerijssen »

Hi guys

I was looking between my voltage regulators last week
and found a DelcoRemy 6volt, 25amps Positive ground regulator,
forgot I had it.

Is it early CCKW or junk?

Voltage Regulator

I bought 1 NOS from Memphis Equip 5-6 yrs ago same specs as yours

I installed it in my 1 1/2ton and polarized it neg ground and (knock wood) it has never failed to start and appears to charge well.

I believe your right in that the 25 amp are early because my later trucks have the 40 amp units. Hope this helps.

It is early CCKW. All trucks made up to may 42 had 25 amps positive ground. All trucks after that had 40 amps negative ground.
