Hi Ash
SER # 191318 A1 would have been mfg January 1943, tha A in the ser # would indicate non winch cargo truck, And the 1 not a L would indicate split type axles. Is your truck a 352 SWB or a 353 LWB.

Its a 353 LWB rag top, no winch and split axles.
It needs some TLC, but is complete and drivable.

She's rough.....but I love her :!:

Any idea on what bonnet number I can expect to find? It appears to be carrying a long YELLOW number, about 2" high letters under the top coat.

Ash
All you can do is try to sand each layer of paint of your hood with light sand paper untill you start seeing the white numbers comming thru. The earlier trucks had 4" numbers untill sometime in late 43. If you want to know alot about cckw history go to the cckw page and click on history of the cckw, then click on cckw articles, and then the jimmy's ancestry and print out Bryce Sunderlin's 8 part history of the cckw, it is very informative and makes excellent reading :!: Beware the hood number might not be correct for your truck these hoods have been swapped around durring rebuilds and other circumstances of the trucks history.
