Thanks for the dates of manufacture. Keep in mind, due to some parts not available when the truck is assigned a serial number , therefore manufactured, the date of delivery to the Army might be sometime later, as much as 6 months.

serialnumber list
Bill I have a list with some 260 serialnumbers on...
Most of them is from many different sources, also listed is every mont and serialnumber like on Rolands list. And other info on changes and so on.
You might have a look and if useful it might be published on your site.
And I am still collecting numbers to ad to the list...

Thanks to members to this site, like you, the valuable information we need to collect and display these old trucks would be lost. Thank you for the hard work you have done on serial numbers and dates. Dedication to research pays off for all of us.
Thanks
Jim

The "mystery" SN...
In Bruce Sunderlin articles of the CCKW it also refered to some CCKW 352 in the 209 000 range + SN that probably has been produced at the Chevrolet plant in St. Louis. The author suggest that a SN range has been alocated for a production here. the same article comfirmes that 2 SN around 210 000 has a DOD of 9-42. Normaly a 210 000 SN would have a DOD of ca 3-43.
The two SN refered to in the article boxes in my "Oliva" CCKW 352A1 210 041 in to be a possible truck produced at the St. louis plant - in the fall of 42 (?)...

Sturla

Hi Guys,
Just to confuse things a bit more TM 10-1562 dated July 1st 1942 refers to chassis numbers 153019-1 to 153218-1 and 218925-1 to 218931-1.
Also I have two original dataplates for the following trucks,
CCKW 353-271912-2. date of delivery 10-43.
CCKW 353-297528-1 date of delivery 6-43

HI Mark, looks like a nice solid truck. Can you tell me what the color and maker of your paint is? Thanks, Andy

Thanks very much for all of your comments,
Regarding the paint on my truck, it is a 10% gloss spraying enamel by Ameron Coatings. The colour is "Olive Drab", but there are quite a few shades of olive drab listed, so I just picked the shade that I liked. I can probably get the code if you need it.
Since that photo was taken I have made quite a bit of progress with brakes and panel work, and have just ordered a heap of small parts to finish things off properly. I have just picked up a genuine long wheelbase cargo body in reasonable order as well, so things are starting to come together.
Kind regards,
Mark Cameron
